* To bridge academia and industry by providing experiential learning opportunities and fostering strategic partnerships that promote practical application of scientific principles.

Department of Applied Physics

Applied Physics Department is an important department under the Department of Applied Sciences.  It provides cutting edge education in the emerging areas of engineering physics. The objective of the department is to create future generations of skilled Engineers by providing quality education through conceptual physics and experiments.  The concepts and relationships introduced in the lecture part of the course describe the general nature and behaviour of real phenomena.  Physics laboratories provide an experimental foundation for the concepts introduced in the lectures.  It is important that student have an opportunity to verify some of the ideas for themselves.  The course on Physics Lab is common to all branches of Engineering in B.Tech Ist Year.  The objective of the course is to offer the students essential exposure to various experimental skills.  The experiments conducted in the Physics Lab relate to the areas of Physical Optics, Lasers, Fiber Optics, Sound, Mechanics, Electricity & Magnetism and Basic Electronics.

Department of Applied Chemistry

The Department of Applied Chemistry, one of the foremost department of Applied Scienecs, serves the purpose of imparting knowledge in Applied Chemistry which is a foundational building block for most engineering disciplines.  The Department has been engaged in imparting the highest level technical and quality of academic education.  Lab is prepared for B.Tech students to perform experiments of Applied Chemistry and Environmental Studies subjects.  The lab is well equipped with all necessary apparatus and glassware.  The Chemistry lab is equipped with Water Distillation Unit, BOD Measurement Unit, pH Meter, Conduct Meter, Heating Oven, Hot Plate Magnetic Stirrer and Physical Balance.  The experiments in the Chemistry Lab include Volumetric analysis, surface tension, viscosity, Proximate analysis of coal, pH conductivity, Moisture content, TDS of water/soil/sludge samples, strength of residual chlorine, among others.

Department of Applied Mathematics

Applied Mathematics is a crucial department under the Department of applied Sciences.  The engineering mathematics is taught to the students pursuing B.Tech in the first four semsters to assist them in understanding perplexing and arduous concepts in other subjects of applied engineering.  The course of Applied Mathematics provides students with mathematical knowledge and tools to understand and apply concepts in the practical and theoretical problems of other subjects.  The syllabus as prescribed by the University, provides an opportunity for the students to discover mathematics through doing.  Mathematical facts are verified using MATLAB software making the subject more interesting to the students.  The Objective is to create engineers with strong mathematical background, creative thinking, and problem-solving skills through systematic training and to help students understand the significance of application and logical thinking.
