  Guru Teg Bahadar Khalsa Polytechnic College, Chhapianwali - Malout (GTBKPC), a unit of Guru Teg Bahadar Education Trust is affiliated to Punjab state Board of Technical Education & Industrial Training (PSBTE & IT), Chandigarh and approved by All India Council For Technical Education (AICTE), New Delhi.

In the 56th All India Sikh Conference held at Malout in 1988, it was decided that professional education institutes be setup to provide the opportunities for the growth and development of youth of Malwa region particularly and for youth of the country in general

Consequently Guru Teg Bahadar Education Trust was formed in 1988 under the benign patronage of Late Mahant Tirath Singh ji, Sewa Panthi. His patronage Mahant Kahan Singh ji, is the guiding soul, Head Sewa Panthi, Goniana Mandi. Under this trust, Guru Teg Bahadar Khalsa Polytechnic College was established in 1989 to cater to the needs of the state and country.

GTBKPC has necessary infrastructure to provide state-of-art technical education. It has architecturally exquisite building with airy and spacious class room, well equipped laboratories, air conditioned computer labs with the state-of-art systems, multimedia facilities, well stocked - air conditioned spacious library & a aesthetically designed workshop, sports arena, canteen, transport facility and pleasing greenery. Overall environment in the institute is conducive to learning and excites the students to explore the frontiers of knowledge.
