Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering

The field of Electronics and communication Engineering is a wide and fast advancing field, with new ideas emerging every day.The opportunities for Electronics Engineering are endless and with various streams of subjects with for reaching results can be pursued under this branch of study.
The aim of the the department is to provide a quality education to the youngsters. We not only aim at the theoretical knowledge but also provide the students, the exposure to the developing society so that they can be build their future better.
Students are guided to prepare for careers in various applications of electronics. The department has a well established basics laboratory required for understanding and correlating theory & practical fundamentals

Object Oriented Programming  using  C++ Lab

The Oop lab provides exposer to the students in various programming languages like C & C++. This lab actually act as the platform for trying and enhancing their programming skills.

Analog Electronics Lab

Analog electronics lab emphasis on basic electronics and its applications like various amplifiers for e.g. Class A, Class B, Class C, Class AB, Push Pull, Oscillators for eg. RC phase Shift Oscillators, Hartley.  AE lab is furnished with latest equipment and trainer kits like oscillator, amplifiers& CRO etc. By these students get practical knowledge about the principle of operations of various Analog circuits. This lab is one of the most fundamental one of an Electronics engineer.

Digital Electronics Lab

This lab equips students with basic knowledge of digital electronics circuits. Digital circuits are better understood when implemented to know its applications ,which we provide by using trainer kits like Flip Flops, Counters, Multiplexers and De-Multiplexers, Timers, Encoder and Decoder are the major areas of study.

Linear Control System

Process Control lab aims to providing an opportunity to students to understand different process controls. This lab is the integral part of any curriculum related to instrumentation engineering. This laboratory was established to make students aware about basic fundamentals of practical process control. Various control viz. closed dc loop control, cascade control, ratio control etc.  It is a platform for students to gain hands on knowledge on various automation techniques and the ability to reduce error in applications.

Electronics Measurement and Instrumentation

The Electronics Measurement and Instrumentation Lab helps students to study various instruments like Wheat-Stone Bridge, Shearing Bridge, Wein Bridge, Anderson Bridge, Kelvin Double Bridge, CRO, L.V Power Supply for Kelvin Bridge etc. & focuses on giving students a practical outlook on measuring instruments and their various implementations. All these equipments put into use for various stages of research & development activities.

Electronics Devices and Circuits

The Electronics Devices and circuits lab goes in depth into the core subject of Electronics and Communication Engineering students and allows them to gain knowledge about various electronics devices like FET, JFET, Transistor, Zener Diode, Voltage regulators, Power supply etc. basic circuitries used in electronics.

Digital Electronics Lab

Digital Circuits and Logic Designing/Digital Electronics lab equips students with basic knowledge of digital electronic circuits like Flip Flops, Counters, Multiplexers and De-Multiplexers, Timers, Encoder and Decoder etc. Our Digital Electronics lab is equipped with the latest techniques and concepts which allow the students to be thoroughly familiar with the principles of operations and flexibilities of various IC’s.

Microprocessor Lab

This lab is equipped to give the basic knowledge about the concept of various microprocessor kits like 8085 and 8086  including study of different interface cards. Trainer operates the microprocessor kit by using various commands

Analog Communication Systems Lab

Basically Analog Communication System deals with Analog communication Engineering and Advanced Technology through trainer Kits like PPM, PCM, PAM, PWM, PLL, AM, FM, pulse Modulator, oscillator & CRO’s etc. By these students get practical knowledge about Communication Systems. This lab is one of the most fundamental one of an Electronics engineer.

Digital Communication Lab

Basically Digital Communication System deals with Digital Communication Engineering and Advanced Technology. This lab has various Digital communication trainer kits like DM, ASK, PSK, FSK oscillator & CRO’s etc. By these students get practical knowledge about Digital Communication Systems & know how it is better than analog Communication System

Microcontroller Lab

This lab is equipped to give the basic knowledge about the various Embedded applications and devices that we are using these days .This lab aims at providing an opportunity to students to use the 8051 microcontroller for various purposes such as home automation and auto control systems etc. because microcontroller based device are becoming popular day by day. Trainer operates the microcontroller kit by using keil Software.
Digital Signal Processing Using MATLAB Lab
This lab is equipped with latest PCs including  MATLAB Software which is used in Image processing and Signal processing applications

Microwave & Radar Engg. Lab

This lab equipped to give the basic knowledge about microwave engg. & various Components used in it. This lab provides knowledge about microwave bench which includes klystron tube, antennas, attenuators, bends, corners, directional coupler, Isolators, Klystron amplifier, Slotted Section, VSWR meter and matched termination.
VLSI Lab
This lab is aimed to provide the students, with the knowledge of tools used in VLSI design. The students design their projects using Xilinx and modelsim. The lab is also equipped with hardware required for programming the CPLDS and FPGAS.

Department of Electronics and Instrumentation Engg.

The Department is backed by a very experienced and dedicated faculty. The Department deals with design and optimal use of Instruments to quantify various parameters, which characterize a physical system or process, encompassing all the disciplines of science engineering & technology. The Department aims on producing qualified and dynamic engineers in the fast changing areas of Electronics, Instrumentation and Control Engineering. The course has gained paramount importance and has proved to be indispensible to the industrial establishments. The Department aims to be a center of excellence by acting as facilitator for knowledge generation and its dissemination to produce qualified professionals.

 Analytical Instrumentation Lab

It is the one of important laboratory for degree students in their course curriculum. The aim is to establish this laboratory for practical training in the field of analytical instrumentation like sample analysis using gas chromatograph, atomic absorption spectro-photometer etc. It is also used for the determination of moisture contents, humidity, conductivity and dissolved oxygen contents in a given material sample. Major Equipments are: Gas Chromatograph: For determination of composition in given air sample. Atomic Absorption Photo spectrometer: For determination of metallic composition in given Liquid sample (Presently only copper composition can be determined). UV/Visible Spectrophotometer: For transmittance & absorbance of a given sample solution. PH & Conductivity meter: For determination of PH and conductivity of given solution. Moisture Analyzer: For Moisture control in a given material sample

Process Control Engineering Lab

Process control is the integral part of any curriculum related to instrumentation engineering. This laboratory was established to make students aware about basic fundamentals of practical process control. Various control viz. closed dc loop control, cascade control, ratio control, PLC control are simulated/practically implemented to give student a better understanding. This laboratory is equipped with process simulation kit with feed forward and cascade control schemes,electronic logic controllers,relay logic controllers,level and temperature control with PID controller, electronic transmitter ,recorders, DCS and PLC (programmable logic controller) trainer kit to carry out advanced experiments in process control engineering.

Transducer Lab

Transducer Laboratory is equipped with modern measurement instrumentation equipments, which helps the students to study different mechanism of measurement of Temperature, pressure, density, humidity, displacement, force, speed, torque, stress etc. Students learn to measure as well as develop the skill to calibrate the temperature and pressure gauges etc.

Virtual Instrumentation Lab

The aim of this lab is to model and simulate virtual real time systems. It comprises of a mixture of analog electronic devices like sensors and actuators with digital data acquisition and control.
This lab is equipped with LABVIEW software to acquire and analyze measurement data, instrument control, embedded control and monitoring systems, automated test and validation systems.

Linear Control Systems Lab

The aim of this laboratory to apply automatic control techniques to improve the performance of dynamic systems.

Analytical Instrumentation

Instrumentation lab gives the students familiarization with instruments and their applications, with the methods of how to measure unknown fundamental quantities of electronics like capacitance, inductance etc.
